Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Each student meeting the eligibility requirements will be considered for an award.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must be a National Merit or National Achievement Finalist.
  5. Must list the University of Evansville in Indiana as his/her college choice with the National Merit Corporation by the April deadline.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. incoming freshmen who are National Merit Scholar Finalists, National Achievement Scholar Finalists or National Hispanic Scholar Finalists are eligible for this award. Students must list the University of Evansville in Indiana as their first choice school.

  • Counselor eval. form
  • SAT/ACT
  • App. fee
  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: An eligible student must list UE as his/her college choice with the National Merit Corporation by the April deadline.

Award Amount: This award is for full tuition. For the 2017-2018 school year, the award is for up to $34,300 annually, renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $131,784.

Applications are available online from the University of Evansville (UE) website. There is not a separate application for this award. Each student will be considered upon submission of an admissions application. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit a completed high school counselor evaluation form, official high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, an essay on the specified topic, and a $35 application form. Applications must be submitted by the early action deadline of Dec. 1 for full scholarship consideration. Admissions applications received after this date may be considered if funding allows.
