  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be diagnosed with a medical disability.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.

Description: The Wells Fargo Scholarship Program for People with Disabilities is available for U.S. high school seniors and undergraduate students who have been diagnosed with a disability. Financial need and academic achievement will be factors in consideration for this award.

Application requirements for the Wells Fargo Scholarship Program for People with Disabilities are:

  • Application form
  • Transcripts
  • Applicant appraisal form
  • First two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040
Additional Information: The Wells Fargo Scholarship Program for People with Disabilities is designed to help people with disabilities obtain the education or training necessary to succeed in the career path of their choice. Selection of award recipients will be based on academic achievement, financial need, and evaluation of the applicant's goals as described within the appraisal form.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually for full time students and $1,250 for part time students. Full time awards may be renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,875.

Applications and registration information about this award are available online at the provided link. To be considered for an award, students must register for an online account and complete the contact and identifying information required. In addition, students must submit: a recent copy of transcripts for all coursework completed; an applicant appraisal form filled out by a school counselor, teacher, or work supervisor who knows the student well; and the first two pages of the student's IRS form 1040 (or his/her parents' form if applicable). All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online and must be received no later than the deadline date. Students are encouraged to apply early, as only the first 700 applications will be reviewed.
