Number of Awards & Eligibility: Last year, approximately 1,000 undergraduate students at Williams College received need-based financial aid.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior or undergraduate student.

Description: Williams College provides need-based scholarships and financial aid for all accepted undergraduate students who demonstrate unmet financial need.

Additional Information: Each year, Williams College provides more than $50 million in need-based scholarships and aid to admitted students. All financial aid packages are designed to match the student's unfunded cost of attendance and is based on family income. Students applying by the Early Decision deadline will be notified of their financial aid status in mid-December. Students applying for Regular Decision will be notified in April.

Award Amount: Awards are designed to meet 100% of a student's unmet financial need. Last year, the average financial aid package was valued at $51,890. Awards are renewable for up to three years of additional study, provided that the student maintains satisfactory academic performance and completes the annual aid application.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $51,890.

Application instructions and additional information about this award can be found online at the Williams College financial aid page. All students who are admitted for enrollment at Williams College and complete the required financial aid application will be considered for the school's need-based scholarship and financial aid program. The program is designed to meet 100% of the student's demonstrated financial need after adjusting for outside scholarships and family income. To apply for financial aid, all students must complete the FAFSA, CSS profile, and submit information about prior year taxes. Students wishing to apply by Early Decision must submit all required documents no later than November 20. Students apply for regular decision must complete the application no later than January 15.
