Description: Fontana Transport Inc. is a family owned trucking company based out of Southern California whose owners are passionate about education and helping future leaders in their community pursue a higher education degree. The Fontana Transport Inc. Scholars Program is open to underrepresented, low income and first-generation college-bound students. As they believe everyone in the United States deserves an opportunity to study at a private or public institution despite their financial situation at home. With these scholarships, they strive to open a new door in a student's life that will enable him or her to continue their path toward success.

Additional Information: For first generation high school seniors who are underrepresented, need financial assistance and are passionate about furthering their education as a means to help out their family, community and themselves. For the 2020 Fontana Transport inc Scholars Program, candidates must be: graduating high school, will pursue a full time undergraduate degree in the United States at any 4 year university by fall 2020 and plan to study in any of the following concentrations: • Transportation Management • Math • Science • Engineering ( Any field of engineering) • Architecture • Environmental Design • Pre-Med • Psychology • Spanish Language/Literature The student applicant does not have to be a U.S. citizen, but they must have a minimum 3.5 weighted GPA and graduate a US high school in Spring or Summer of 2020. All applicants will need proof of attending a 4 year university beginning Fall 2020.

Award Amount: One scholarship of up to $5,000 being offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
