In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must have completed 15 or more credit hours at previously attended colleges/universities.
  4. Must have a cumulative college grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must plan to transfer to Ashland University in Ohio.
  6. Must attend a university in Ohio.

Description: Transfer students who have completed 15 or more college credit hours and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must plan to transfer to Ashland University in Ohio.

Application requirements for the Ashland University Transfer Student Scholarship are:

  • Official Transcript
  • Personal statement
  • Application form
Additional Information: An eligible student must have completed 15 or more credit hours of college coursework, excluding postsecondary coursework.

Award Amount: The monetary award amount is based on the applicant's college grade point average. Awards range from $2,000 to $8,000 annually. All awards are renewable for an additional three years, as long as the student maintains a grade point average of 3.0 or higher at Ashland University at the end of each academic year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $22,000.
