In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a disabled veteran or a dependent of a disabled or deceased veteran
  2. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
  3. Must be a resident of Illinois or the greater geographic region known as the “Chicago District"

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The CDGA Foundation Scholarship, awarded to disabled veterans or dependents of deceased or disabled veterans living or hospitalized in the Chicago District. Awards are given on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement, community service and personal goals. Applicants must be a disabled veteran or a dependent of a disabled or deceased veteran with intent to enroll in an accredited college or career training school for up to a maximum of four paid awards/years.

Application requirements for the CDGA Foundation Veteran Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • FAFSA
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • Veteran Verification
  • ACT/SAT scores
Additional Information:

Award Amount: $5,000 will be awarded to each chosen applicant  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.

There are two application deadlines per calendar year, April 15 and September 15 Extension periods will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
