Number of Awards & Eligibility: Awards vary annually, depending on number of applicants and funding availability.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder) by time of application.
  2. Must be an Arizona resident for two full years immediately preceding entry to the university.
  3. Must attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average (unweighted).
  4. Must participate and demonstrate leadership in a variety of extracurricular activities.

Becoming a Flinn Scholar means having all this—and the ability to graduate debt-free from one of Arizona’s public universities. In scope and value, the Flinn Scholarship is unlike almost any other undergraduate merit-based scholarship in the United States. The scholarship—valued at more than $130,000—covers tuition, fees, housing, and meals at one of Arizona’s three public universities, plus study abroad.

Award Amount: Funding amounts vary applicant to applicant, based on tuition costs.   The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $140,000.
