Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three scholarships provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study or be currently enrolled in a graduate program at an MPOWER partner college.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
  3. Must be eligible for DACA.
  4. This award is for international students in the U.S.

Description: This award is available for DACA-eligible students who have completed at least two years in an undergraduate program or are currently enrolled in a graduate program at one of MPOWER's partner universities. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.

Additional Information: MPOWER Financing and The La Unidad Latina Foundation (LULF) have partnered to create this scholarship for DACA students who have a strong potential for leadership in hopes that they may become effective advocates for the DACA community. LULF was established in 1999 to serve as an independent, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to educational achievement and civic empowerment in the Latino community. Through a partnership with MPOWER financing and dozens of participating universities, LULF is able to provide this annual scholarship for DACA students studying in the U.S.

Award Amount: $1,000 to $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,667.

Applications and information are available at the La Unidad Latina Foundation website with the link provided. In addition to the completed application form, students must also submit an official copy of transcripts, as well as a recent resume that attests to his or her participation in community service and volunteer activities. All applications and supporting documentation must be submitted online by the deadline date.
