Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must have an adjusted gross family income of less than $90,000.
  4. Must be a permanent resident of the State of Maryland.
  5. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
  6. Must be graduating from Baltimore City College in Maryland.
  7. Must have applied or been accepted to an accredited four-year institution in the U.S.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. students who are graduating from Baltimore City College in Maryland with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply for this award. Students must demonstrate financial need, with an adjusted gross family income of $91,000 or less.

Additional Information: This fund was established in 2008 by Ira Wagner, in honor of his parents, Stanley and Evelyn Wagner, to provide scholarship support to an outstanding graduating senior from Baltimore City College. This a competitive program; not all applicants will be selected as recipients. All decisions of Central Scholarship Bureau and the Grant Committees are final.

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications are available on the Central Scholarship Bureau (CSB) website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit the following materials: a copy of his/her current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Student Aid Report (SAR) (or the applicant's most recent tax return if his/her FAFSA or SAR is not available); a completed 'Budget Form,' including the student's tuition costs and all known income sources; and an essay addressing the topic listed on the application. The SAR is sent to students once the FAFSA has been processed. Students must file the FAFSA by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. In addition to completing the scholarship application, including all the needed information for the loan application, the applicant must call the CSB office to schedule an interview. Completed online applications must be submitted by the deadline date.
