Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year the Chelsy Tomashoff Memorial Scholarship for Print Design Excellence is offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be majoring in design, art, visual communications, or a related field.
  2. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.

Description: The Chelsy Tomashoff Memorial Scholarship for Print Design Excellence is available for undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in design, art, or visual communications.

Application requirements for the Chelsy Tomashoff Memorial Scholarship for Print Design Excellence are:

  • Application form
  • Essay
  • Completed print design
Additional Information: The Chelsy Tomashoff Memorial Scholarship for Print Design Excellence is provided annually to students who are majoring in fields related to print and design such as art, design, and visual communications. The scholarship is awarded in memory of Chelsy Tomashoff, a longtime member of Thomas Publishing who had a passion for design and always believed in giving back. Additional consideration will be given to student's publishing their submitted essays and designs to portfolio websites such as Behance, Dribbble or a personal portfolio website. Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university for the fall 2020 semester.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applications and additional information about the Chelsy Tomashoff Memorial Scholarship for Print Design Excellence are available online using the provided links. In addition to the completed application form, applicants must submit a short essay and submit a completed print design. Essays must address the importance of print design in today's digital age. Essays and print designs must be submitted through an external URL such as dropbox, a personal website, or another third party publishing site.
