Description: The Brylak Law Safety Scholarship Contest is available for accepted and enrolled college students who submit an essay or video on the current year's topic.

Application requirements for the Brylak Law Safety Scholarship Contest are:

  • Video OR Essay submission
Additional Information: The Brylak Law Safety Scholarship Contest is provided annually to help encourage students to think about how lawyers and the legal system contribute to making society a safer place. One winner will be selected based on the quality of his or her video or essay submission.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Application instructions and additional details for the Brylak Law Safety Scholarship Contest is available using the provided links. There are two ways to apply for this scholarship program: students may submit a video or an essay. All submissions must focus on the role that lawyers play in contributing to a safer society. Topics to consider include: the role personal injury lawyers play in minimizing hazards, helping those injured, and encouraging people everywhere to think about consumer safety. Video submissions must be between one and two minutes in length and published publicly to Youtube. Videos must also be submitted to the Brylak Law Facebook page and shared on the student's personal Facebook page. Students choosing the essay option must write an original response of between 1,000 and 1,500 words in length and submit their writing to the provided email address. All submissions must be received no later than the deadline date.
