$2,500 annually, non-renewable. The scholarship will be paid in two equal installments of $1,250 each. Checks will be mailed to the recipient's home address of record, and will be made payable jointly to the recipient and the participating flight school and must be endorsed by both.
One award offered annually.
Preference will be given to students who reside in Kansas, Missouri or Illinois. Semifinalists are selected by the screening committee on the basis of their academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, and relevant work experience. Applicants must be recommended by an aviation professional, although they may apply directly themselves. The recipient will be notified in writing at the earliest possible date. All other applicants will be notified in writing by mid-April. The scholarship is to be used for the express purpose of initial or primary flight training.
