Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid
Up to $2,500 annually. The award cannot exceed tuition and required fees. Awards are renewable for up to 8 semesters (12 trimesters) or degree completion, whichever comes first. Recipients must submit a renewal application every year.
The number of awards offered annually varies based on the number of qualified applicants and funding levels. Generally, all eligible applicants are awarded.
Created by the Mississippi Legislature this program is designed to provide financial aid assistance to Mississippi residents attending state approved public and nonprofit two-year and four-year eligible colleges and universities. The primary objective of the MESG is to provide educational opportunities for students who wish to pursue postsecondary education in the state. Students must be pursuing a first certificate, first associate's degree, or first bachelor's degree.
