In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend the University of Kentucky College of Nursing professional program.
  2. Must be majoring in nursing.

Description: The Rosellen Dee Pearsall Nurse Scholarship Fund is available for students who are currently enrolled at and planning to continue at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing professional program.

Additional Information: The Rosellen Dee Pearsall Nurse Scholarship Fund is provided annually through the VCCF and seeks to assist in the financial costs of a college student who is majoring in and planning to pursue a career in nursing. Financial need will be considered during the award selection process, but it is not a requirement for eligibility and consideration.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Additional information about the Rosellen Dee Pearsall Nurse Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) website. To apply for an award, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
