Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship of $3,500
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be US Citizenship.
  2. Must have SWE Collegiate membership.
  3. Must attend one of the following schools: Illinois Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, University of Illinois – Chicago, University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign, Illinois State University, Purdue University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, University of Notre Dame, University of Michigan, Marquette University, University of Wisconsin – Madison, Iowa State University, University of Iowa.
  4. Mus have a minimum GPA: 3.0.
  5. Must be sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students, and July (freshmen students) for use during the upcoming academic year.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to those who identify as a female/woman and are studying STEM related fields in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. This program is open to both SWE members and non-members; however, some do require SWE membership.

Application requirements for the Invenergy Women’s Networking Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: Scholarships are typically awarded in May (sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students) and July (freshmen students) for use during the upcoming academic year. Scholarship payments are made in September. Recipients are also announced in September. A few main eligibility points: US Citizenship and SWE Collegiate membership required. Global geographic location based on home address. Preference given to candidates willing to intern. Candidate must attend one of the following schools: Illinois Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, University of Illinois – Chicago, University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign, Illinois State University, Purdue University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, University of Notre Dame, University of Michigan, Marquette University, University of Wisconsin – Madison, Iowa State University, University of Iowa. Minimum GPA: 3.0.

Award Amount: The winner of the Invenergy Women’s Networking Scholarship will receive $3,500.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,500.

SWE provides one application for sophomores through graduate students and one application for freshmen. Applicants complete an application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. To apply you need to register and create a profile. You also have to submit transcripts and references
