I am in love with Baruch. I love how it's in Manhattan so there are always things to do whether you're on break between classes or just bored. Baruch has so many classes and professors it is hard to register each semester because the ratings are so high for the teachers. The library is a great place to study as they even have little rooms you can rent just for yourself to study in or presentation rooms to help practice for projects. The student life is friendly and pleasant. I recommend Baruch to anyone, as it is not just a business school. I would pick Baruch over any other college in my honest opinion.

I think that it has a very diverse environment which makes students of different backgrounds feel comfortable and safe. Baruch also provides services that help students with their studies such as laoning laptops for those who need them. The professors are helpful, informative and almost always available outside class.

It is a school that exceeded my expectations. As part of CUNY System, the school receives a surprisingly large amount of funding for campus events and giveaways. I love the networking opportunities that Baruch provides, with many companies choosing to recruit at our campus. The school often receives best ratings as a financial major institution, and they're all well deserved!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Good school if you know what you are doing and go specifically for that. Not for the faint of heart if you are going to study Finance or Accounting. Make sure your priority is education and participation in clubs and other groups, otherwise it will be hard to actually get a good job after graduation. Start early on with the career center and ideally get internships starting your first semester. It is a commuter school for many and it is easy to get lost if you are not keeping in touch with classmates. Long waits in the administration offices. Administrators are overwhelmed and bitter. At times very bitter. But some of them are amazing people. Maintain relationships with them. Professors are amazing if you choose the right ones. Ask your peers but also make a judgment yourself using various sources like rate my professor, etc. Or better yet, talk to the professor directly and you will see if this is the right fit for you. The campus is in the heart of NYC which gives an opportunity to connect to all the professionals in the field. Also, there are a variety of options for food, entertainment, and transportation. For finance students: you have access to the Subotnick Center, Bloomberg Terminal and Capital IQ. If you are quite independent you will enjoy the school experience and the opportunities to make great connections in the industry and build a career in Finance/Accounting/Business/Public affairs.

CUNY Bernard M Baruch college is an amazing institution. From the students to the professors to the staff everyone is super motivated and intelligent. It is a highly competitive environment and though it may look intimidating it keeps you on your toes and helps you improve and keep going. The on campus opportunities are immense, there is a career fair going on every other day! And the campus clubs and student life is another amazing aspect! You can be as involved as you want to, but the opportunity is definitely there!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Before anything, I believe that the New York school system is lacking in a lot of areas and is behind compared to universities and schools in other states. Now, in regards to my college, Baruch, I believe that there is a lack of support between the staff and it’s students. Based of my personal experience I feel as if there are options and many resources that are not being given. The staff and academic advisors are supposed to work with you not against you. I loved my college experience in Pennsylvania it was a true difference compared to my experience here in New York. There is no motivation for the students to join a club or sport. I see many students (myself included) show up to class and head towards the train station as soon as the class is over. I guess you can say that I have grown accustomed to having advisors work with you and weigh out the different options in regards to when you plan on graduating and exposing you to different resources and incentives that are available on campus, like that in Pennsylvania. I guess that I have also grown accustomed to the smiles on everyone’s face in Pennsylvania compared to Baruch where everything seems to be so grim and everyone seems to constantly be in a bad mood. I try my best to not let the school environment affect my studies. All I wish is to finally graduate and continue my studies outside of the city.

I love this university. It's in the heart of the greatest city in the world. It's challenging, it's invigorating. The classrooms are diverse, you will speak respectfully to people you never knew existed. The professors have dynamic lives and they'll share this with you candidly. There is are always amazing speakers at the school and you have access to all other speakers at other CUNY schools all across New York.

I love Baruch. Most of the professors are wonderful, and the club life is 'happening' too. There is no Greek life, which is honestly a relief. I think that this school could benefit from better elevators, but you will probably find this a common complaint amongst the student body. Excellent food options nearby, Madison Square Park just a few blocks away.... Come join us; you'll love it here!

CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College is truly the ivy league school within CUNY and a jewel to those seeking to earn a reputable degree in business without succumbing to hefty debt. The courses you are offered will teach you a great deal of the current economic state and international relations, and eventually inspire you to venture or invest your efforts in the public sector or companies or organization aimed for the betterment of consumers and society as a whole. I fondly look back at my professors and continue to apply their teachings to this very day.

Good Accounting curriculum, but must study hard to pass. There is a policy for most of their accounting courses which only 15% of the class can get A's. Club events are great. You get to meet a lot of people and who knows, you find some new besties!
