What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Juanita

Since I began my college experience in Fall of 2010, I have learned much. I now know that being independent is not an issue for me, and relying on my mother is not what I want to do. I have also realized that these four years of undergrad will go by quickly, and I should make the most of it by being involved in clubs, campus sports, volunteering, and doing my best to maintain the highest grades possible. In the short amount of time that I have been here, I have met people that I know will be lifelong friends of mine. It has been valuable for me to attend the University of Arizona because of these very experiences above. It has also been valuable to attend because I am a first generation college student. Each year that I spend in my undergrad brings me closer and closer to my dream of attending medical school here and becoming a pediatrician. Overall, my experience in college thus far has taught me that the hardships that I went through in the past were all preparation for this time in my life, and the memorable times that lie ahead.

The University of Arizona has given me the ability to think for myself. I was fortunate in my freshman year to become interested by a philosophy course. I declared philosophy as my major (and later economics) without knowing that the coursework would change who I am. The philosophy program is ranked in the top 15 of the world, the professors that I've had are some of the most important in the field - my mind has been in good hands. My professors did more than ask me thought-provoking questions, they taught me how to answer them. Now I say with absolute honesty that I am fully prepared to undertake any intellectual task given to me in my career. The philosophy department has taught me what questions are important to ask, what arguments are good, how to be creative in my problem-solving, and that an open-mind isn't one which accepts all theses but one which applies rigorous scrutiny to all. This augmented capacity to think has effected all aspects of my life. Before I had selfish ambitions, and now I hope to genuinely improve the well-being of the world. With reason, I will do just that.

I have been to elementary schools and have helped these schools for my degree program. I value that they send students out to schools to observe and help because it benefits not only the students but the schools themselves. The students form a bond with these schools and they can count on the schools to give them help in the future.

Carley

"Carley, your college years are some of the best years of your life." These words still linger in the back of my head ever since my dad first told me them at 10 years old. I never knew whether or not to believe him, but I didn't question it either. Now, half way through my third year of college I don't think twice about these words because I know the truth behind them. I couldn't be more satisfied with my college experience in the sense that it is preparing me for the next phase in my life. I am not only academically challenged, but I am physically and financially pushed as well. I am forced to take on challenges, expose myself to new experiences, solve my own problems, and get through situations relying just on myself. Your parents don't tell you how to prepare for life; you just figure it out on your own. However, I can say that college is my defining moment where I realized that I CAN be an independent and I AM going to succeed.

Although I have only completed one semester of college at the University of Arizona it has already changed my entire life. At this school and on this campus I am able to express myself freely and grow into the person I wish to be. This is achieved through the amazing academics offered, as well as the groups and activities available on campus. Before starting college I always heard that the teachers did not care about you or whether you passed or failed; I have yet found one professor to confirm this statement. They are always eager to help better explain the information, and offer their assistance with exams and papers. The school itself is a place where I feel safe. I have met so many new people, and formed life long friendships through the groups the University has to offer. I am so thankful that I am able to attend this college!

Monica

I have received an excellent foundation in order to become a professional in the healthcare industry. My bachelor's of science degree from the University of Arizona along with my high GPA have made me a great candidate for furthering my education and this allows me to pursue my dream career as a physician assistant. My education is incredibly valuable because it increases the amount of opportunity that will be available to me thoughout life and in the professional world. Life has a lot to offer and I can not wait to continue my education in order to be a valuable asset to our community.

Chelsea

The most valuable part of my college experience has been the time I spent outside of class, at home, with my three other housemates. The two seniors offer solid, practical advice on how to survive school and avoid the snarls that frequently occur to ignorant freshmen. They taught me to relax and watch a movie instead of studying all night long and to ace a final. They persuaded me the bookstore is a necessary evil. The third girl, a freshman and my roommate, trained me to live with someone who isn't an adult. I have no siblings, so living with someone my age was a foreign challenge. However, I learned how to live with her despite shoving my foot in my mouth and my over-reaching attempts to be best friends for ever and ever and ever. I also learned how to sleep with the lights on while she stays up late. My lessons are far from over and I'm glad. I'd be very sad to cut off this new, exponential growth spurt. Plus, I have a feeling we have a lot more laughter ahead of us, which I would be very sorry to miss.

Breanna

I have learned how to balance time. I am still learning, but I am improving. It was hard at first to balance studying and hanging out with friends, but it is something that must be learned. I also love seeing how much I have improved over one semester. It is truely incredible what I have been able to learn from my classes. I love my classes and enjoy learning. It has also been a great to learn how to be friendly. It seems that you make new friends every semester! I love that whereever I am, I can talk to people near me and not feel shy. The lessons I have learned in college will always be with me. I am very grateful and blessed to go to the University of Arizona! I would recommend this school to anyone who is willing to work harder than ever before to come here. It is worth it!

Samantha

I have learned that I am a stronger person than I thought I was. This past fall semester I went to school in Illinois, to play soccer, and I met some wonderful girls there. However, the experience with the coaches was extremely negative. I had a decision to make. I could stay in that verbally abusive situation or change schools and give up my dream of playing soccer in college. I had looked forward to going to college for as long as I could remember and I just couldn't imagine spending four years somewhere and being so unhappy. I chose to give up my soccer dreams and change schools. Life is about choices and I made a choice to be happy. I learned a lot though. I can handle bad situations and still come out ok. I met girls that I will be friends with forever and I got really good grades, in spite of those coaches. I am learning a lot and already growing as a person. I know in four years, when I graduate, I will be a stronger, smarter woman. I am now at U of A and I am really happy. I love college.

Gina

Most importantly what I have gotten out of college is to not only be myself, but have independence and confidence in who I am. I came from a graduating all girls high school of 50 and to be myself was super easy. Now at college it was not as easy being myself especially with 40,000 plus other students. I realized in high school I was a large fish living in a small pond far from the ocean and now at college I am a small fish in a very large ocean. College has been a test to how prepared I really was and in reality I was not as prepared as I thought. I began to question myself and try things I have never done before. I test my limits and define who I want to be. This first year at college is only the beginning of who I want to be in the future. It has been valuable to attend because without the experiences and the people I have meet I would not have developed to the person I believe I want to be. I am discovering what it means to be an independent unique adult.

Helen

Although I am still in my first year of school, college has changed me significantly because I learned how to communicate with people; I find myself to be a conservative person. When college started, I met new people from different countries, states, and cities. This improved my life because I was not out going during my high school years and I would normally stay at home all day wishing I could do something enjoyable. College opened new opportunities for me and it created a new person out of me as well. There were things I would never do while I was in high school, but college taught me to do things out of my comfort zone. I find this valuable because I always wanted to break free from my parent’s disciplines. Living in an Asian family, it is hard to let loose, but college taught me that I could balance schoolwork, have fun, and be happy at the same time. In addition, it made me grow as a person, it helped me choose which path I want to go, and I want to use these opportunities and share them with people that have the same problem as I did.

Being a college student has given me ample opportunity to; discover my true self, refine my career goals, and find a balance in the daily hustle and bustle of life. Attending two colleges before entering my junior year, each with their own unique attributes and differences, has given me a larger perspective of what attending college has to offer me. My first college landed me in a new state with lots of excitement but also plenty of challenges ahead. After successfully completing a year away from what I realized to truly be home, I returned to Oregon to reevaluate my college goals and decided to explore new opportunities at my local community college. Throughout all these experiences, I have grown as a person immensely in college because I had to overcome personal limitations and weaknesses. I have learned to find my own voice, navigate a new environments and be open to varied interactions with all types of people. Being in college has cemented who I am and has given me a deeper sense of self-confidence and motivates me to keep pushing forward in new directions to see what I am capable of achieving.

The extent to which the human race is overtaxing the planet is becoming steadily more apparent, and I find that I am drawn to school in an effort to remediate the damage that we have caused. I work in the Marine Phage Lab at the University of Arizona in an attempt to gain knowledge of the infection patterns of organisms as small as ocean viruses, and am planning to travel to South America this summer to work on rainforest and sea turtle conservation; yet I still have little credibility in the scientific world. However my goal is to obtain a degree in Environmental Sciences and a solid foundation of knowledge from the same program. As of the past semester, I have learned more than I could have imagined about our environment and it's ecosystems. It is my hope that this learning curve will continue and that in three years my knowledge will not only allow my voice to be heard within academic circles, but can ultimately provide me with the means to lend a hand in the extremely important job of conserving our planet.

Stephanie

I have gained a new sense of who I am as I develop into an adult, and a more understanding of how society and the world around me functions daily. I have also gained many friends, several of whom I hope will become my fellow future teachers. Attending the University of Arizona has allowed me to explore my interests while remaining relatively cose to home. I consider my time spent here to be extremely valuable, and I cannot wait to see what future adventures may hold. Bear Down, Arizona!

There is a strong school spirit here at The University of Arizona. Here I know that I am part of something bigger than myself. The first club that I joined was Blue Chip. It's more of a program than a club. It is a leadeship skill building program. Through Blue Chip I have had the opportunity to built my leadership skills, work with middle school children, be a voluteer in the community, and build my confidence. I am learning that true leadership comes from service. For me there is no denying the value of a college education. Today I am more focused, more hopeful and more encouraged than I’ve ever been. The knowledge I’ve gained so far and what I will acquire as I continue my education will never be taken away from me. I intend to use my education to make a significant impact in my field and serve my community with honor.

Chental

I have gotten a lot of experience by just having time management skills. My time management skills have developed significantly due to the fact that I must work two jobs and go to school full time just to pay tutition and living expenses to a school that I dislike. I wish I would chosen another insitution that was really worth my money and my time.

Kailani

To be honest I've gotten so much out of my experiences that it's hard to tell you about them. There have been more downs than ups, but since I've been getting more involved and getting to know more people I'm enjoying myself. I've recently found an area of study that truely fascinates me, linguistics, and I want to learn more. If it had not been for my advisors and professors I would not have even considered linguistics or the Chinese and Japanese language. I just want to emphasize that there are people here that are willing to help, you just have to know where to look and have the courage to ask.

Edritz

As a molecular and cellular biology major, I learned the intricacy and complexity of how cells coordinate and develop into an organism. The classes that I have taken has been beneficial to me, because it has helped me blossom and progress to become a better scientist. I have also discovered the joy in doing research, and the University of Arizona provide students with top notch equipment. There are plenty of resources to help students from different socioeconomic, gender, and/or educational background. People at the University of Arizona are eager to help if you ask for it. Overall, my experience at the University of Arizona has been exceptional and memorable.

Allison

So far, out of my college experience what i have gained is maturity. Being thrown into a new place, without parents, without my high school friends or anyone I knew was quit a challange. At first I was so nervous, I kept calling my mom crying everynight. It finally hit me, I needed to grow up. I think college is about meeting new people, learning new things and having new experiences. Its all about how much effort you put in, for what you recieve. There are so many different kinds of people and different oppertunities everywhere, its amazing where you can go if you really take control of your life, and start living.

Kelsey

So far, College has given me great friends, a great education, and an amazing sense of independence. If I had not gone to community college this year, I would never have found my dream school, or even known that I wanted to be a fashion Photographer.

Christy

Filling out my application for an internship in Spain, I realized how many opportunities my university really opened up for me. I was given the opportunity to study the ethical and moral nature of the ecotourism business in Costa Rica first hand through study abroad, I have met and been lectured to by many leaders in the business world, and am recieving practical knowledge of business through hands-on projects and assignments. In addition to the Throughout my time at the U of A, I have felt a great sense of belonging in the Wildcat community. I felt it in the ZonaZoo where school pride is clearly visible and could not be ignored especially for the big rivalry game with ASU. I also felt it in the middle of the night at the library during finals week and in the 3 am coffee runs. This school is overflowing pride and it has helped me to become confident in myself and my abilities to succeed.

Xavier

From my college experience I have learned the importance of a community. College is nothing but a community of learners; we all come together because of the belief that learning together is more important than learning apart, that thorough the interaction between our fellow students and professors much knowledge can be discovered and acquired. The college experience is valuable to attend because it provides the opportunity to forge relationships with others, and theses relationships are the doorway to a better world both for the individual and the community.

Rachel

Having only completed one semester at The University of Arizona I feel as if i learned a lot more than most other college students. I'm from out of state and I am paying a considerable amount for my education so I promised myself to make the most of it, mostly education wise but not ONLY education wise. I never knew how hard it would be to leave my family back in Boston. Home-cooked meals never sounded so good but a part of flying is leaving the nest. Most students would love to go down the street to a college close to home just for the independence but I wanted the real experience of going off and really being on my own. On top of the academics, sports and volunteer work, bills are a extensive part of this "grown-up" world and not the most joyful part at that. Paying for college is part of this independence but it has also put me into a slight debt but its all part of the full experience.

Michael

After just a semester at the University of Arizona, I have matured substantially, reaching no bounds in discovering myself. With the freedom to create my own schedule, I have been able to take classes that appeal to me. By selecting courses pertaining to my interests, I can discover my abilities and fascinations, while broadening my education at the same time. Studying new, unique subjects and discussing them at a scholastic level has given me an appreciation for learning and expanding my knowledge. The university has also given me the ability to discover myself socially and confidently interact with others. I have met my best friends at this school and developed a connection that I do not believe could have been formed anywhere else. Even with professors and teachers, I have established a professional relationship and learned to confidently interact with them. After just one semester, the University of Arizona has bettered me as a student, peer, and human being. I can only imagine the promising future the university will provide me with for the rest of my tenure here.

Kirstin

My college experience thus far has been dependant on my activites within college. I used to do marching band in high school and felt that once I got to college, I would quit that activity. In my freshman year of a free fall semester from practices and football games, I met some of my best friends today. However, I felt that I missed my old activity and took marching band up again the next fall, while keeping my best friends. In band, I made some great bonds with people I wouldn't have otherwise met. I feel that most of the people I'll know after college will be those friends I have now. I have luckily been able to take classes with these friends and face the challenges these classes present to us with them. I know for a fact that I would not have had the privlege to know whom I know now if I had or had not participated in certain activies only obtainable through my school. The University of Arizona has been valuable to attend because of what it can offer to students in academics, activities, and simply friends.

Tiara

My collage experience has not only helped me mature into a responsible, independent adult but it also helped me reach my dreams. I have known what I wanted to do for a career since I was a young child. Without collage and specifically this collage I would never have made it. My academic advisor has been helping me out since the beginning. Because of this institution I have had two different lab jobs, a student manager position and two internships. After I graduate I'll be headed to Antarctica to finish up a project supported by NASA. This is what I have been working my whole life to achieve. Without collage I would never have made it this far. I have seen what I want and it is within my grasp. I have the ability to support my own needs and work towards a bright future.

The most striking thing I've learned from attending college is the value of life management. I cannot think of an environment that more efficiently tests the adaptability of a person than college life. The money- and time-management skills I've obtained out of necessity in college will be invaluable in my professional life. In addition, I've made many connections and friends that will help me both professionally and personally in the years to come. Many of these people I would not have met if not for having my university as a common factor. Though it may not be particularly valuable in the traditional sense, the opportunity to explore many different activities and areas of study has been satisfying on a personal level. The kinds of experiential opportunities afforded in college are not offered at any other time in life and it's been a pleasure taking advantage of all of them.

Shelby

Notable college experiences would be understanding one's relationship between the college and themsleves. The relationship between the student and the college is important because the student has to stay connected and aware and when there's an established relationship, one's college experience can be soaring. My college experiences has revolved around primarily striving to perform good in school and maintaining my relationship with the college. I established my relationship with the college by simply checking my e-mail. Through this, I gained immense amounts of information about community events, volunteer opportunities, available advisor sessions, and e-mails from my professors about class-related information. This has kept me in the know about what is going on around the college and community and also notified me of any important updates I needed. It has been valuable to attend my college because I believe I gained the full college experience of being far away from home, meeting completely need friends and acquaintances, and having the sense of being independent. These achievements has benefited my progress of moving into the real world and building my self-confidence in achieving my life goals one step at a time through different college experiences.

Robert

my college experience has made me a better person. i got a lot out of attending college because it made me mature and it showed me how hard you have to work to succeed in the world.

Soley

I have gotten out of my college experience that life is a constant competition and one must be prepare for it. It is like a race that one must train for four years or more., and even with four years of training one must be always keep studying to "be in shape". It has been so valuable to attend because here at University you do not just receive education that would help you grow as a professional , you would grow as a person. I have never ever seen such a multicultural world. Yes this a new world, we call it here THE WILDCAT WORLD , where everybody respect each other, it doesn't matter your religion , or ethinicity , you are valued because of your knowledge, and we all share the same dream : SUCCESS .

Fatima

The lesson I learned at the University of Arizona was that time was (and will always be) very valuable. This lesson helped me manage my time so I could prioritize and turn-in all of my homeworks or projects on time. This technique was learned by having strict professors, where they would not allow work to be turned-in a second late. This allowed for me to evolve as a human being and become a more organized person. Not only did my college experience help me with time management but also encouraged me to search for extra sources or references to provide a thorough product. These lessons have been beneficial for my professional career. I currently work at an engineering company, and I constantly assure myself to finish all the projects by the due dates, as well as, looking for the appropriate references to provide the most accurate result.

Karrie

College has been a great learning experience. Not only am I on my way to a great career, I have made great friends and learned a lot about life. I will be forever glad that I attended college.

Caitlyn

I went into college torn between three polar opposite majors. During the course of my first semester, I took a wide variety of classes to try and find which direction I wanted to be going. Each of these classes shed some light to the realization of what I wanted to achieve and why, which is something I've found invaluable since they have shown me I can do a little bit of everything that I wanted to do and how to accomplish my goals.

Donavon

I have gotten several valuable experiences from this university, including a chance to leave my comfort zone as far as social standing with a chance to really reinvent myself as someone that i not only want to be, but would be proud to be. U of A has given me that chance and i am very thankful. I would also have to say that for a campus so big, there is no lack of transportation to get to classes. You can use free bikes or ride the bus, and if its dark out there are services that will pick you up on campus and drive you or walk you home, so you dont have to travel by yourself in the middle of the night. I am very happy to be at the University of Arizona, and wouldnt trade it for a thing.

Jaime

In college, I have learned proper time management. I have always had to work while in school, so finding the right balance between school work, work, play, and relationships was very important. I feel I have done that successfully, especially in this last year. I have also made friendships I know will last a lifetime. Every one of my best friendships stems from my first year in the dorms, whether directly or indirectly. I also feel better prepared to take on the real world. I still feel there is much to learn about what I studied in my major (nutritional sciences), but I believe I am well-equipped to handle a real job and enter graduate school eventually. Overall, college has been a great experience. I appreciate every day I spend on campus rather than dreading it, like I did in the beginning.

Kimberly

During my college experience I have seen many people drop out and lose hope, but I know that I must stay in it until I have accomplished my goal of graduating and earning my bachelor’s degree. Being able to attend college has been so empowering and given me confidence that I can do whatever I set my mind to. I have learned that having an education and a degree is something no one can ever take away from you and will help you rise to your true earning potential. College is not something to be taken for granted, because it can open many doors and lead to a career full of possibilities. People who attend college are exposed to a world full of information and gain new knowledge everyday. This experience teaches a person to absorb many things at once and to take everything in with a positive outlook. Continuing my education is the greatest gift I have given myself and will allow me to succeed and overcome any hurdles life throws my way.

Jonathan

After three semesters at UA, I can honestly say that I have grown as a person. High school, I have come to realize, is nothing more than learning how to learn. My experience at Arizona has shown me what real learning is. My classes have broadened my perspective on just about everything, and have helped me to understand my place in the world. If it isn't too brash to say, I see myself as a bit of a Renaissance man. My interests and aptitudes stretch far and wide, and I am the type that would rather know a little about a lot than a lot about a little. My time spent as an architecture major realized my love for architecture, yet my other classes helped to show me that my personality dictated a different type of major. A change of majors helped alleviate that dissonance, and, despite the punchline being less than witty and somewhat cliche, allowed me to discover what I see as the ultimate goal: happiness in your job, happiness in your interpersonal relationships, and happiness in life.

Laura

I graduated with a French and English degree in 2007, and after trying out several different career paths ranging from public relations to sales, I decided to integrate my passion for reading, travel, and working with children, and return to graduate school to earn my Masters in Teaching. I have held positions as an elementary school tutor, day camp counselor, private French tutor, and mentor throughout my life, but it was because of the education I received as an undergraduate and the recent classes I have taken to fulfill prerequisite requirements that truly reminded me of the importance of education. I hope to become an elementary school teacher specializing in teaching those for whom English is a second language. My own educational background has prepared me well for this career path, because I am well aware of the challenges one faces when attempting to master a second language. Although my dual major did not lead to any specific job right out of college, it prepared me for a wide range of careers that I dabbled in until I found my niche.

Jonathan

By attending my college, I have been able to get a jump start on my education. I have attend two semesters at Lone Star College and I feel on top of this world when I am going to class. I feel so fortunate to be able to get an education. It has not been easy. I have been working full-time since the first day I was sixteen years of age. What I did not pay for bills, I used towards my college fund. It is not much so any scholarship I shall obtain will benefit me tremendously.

Maxemilio

There seems to be a disconnect in my experience with education, and learning. It has been my privelege in attending college to find some of my greatest experiences outside the classroom: learning by tutoring other students, or learning by advocacy as a representative in student government. In fact, the most influential event that impacted my choice of major came from volunteering as a counselor at a national youth leadership experience in the New Mexico backcountry. One of the greatest lessons I've learned in college has been one of the value of personal interacton. I have been so honored to have the opportunity share my knowledge as a tutor; seeing the recognition on a student's face, and watching people grow in knowledge is a reward in itself. Even in the midst of adversity, I have been so glad for the independence to solve my own problems, and develop new solutiuons to the many challenges of undergraduate work. The most valuable part of attending college cannot be expressed simply in credit hours, but rather in opportunities taken, relationships forged, and challenges met. The chance to seek out my success is a tribute to the American Dream, and I am grateful.

Tyler

From my experiences here at the University of Arizona I believe that the most important lesson that I have learned is simply press forward with determination. I believe that we can accomplish anything, that we honestly set our mind to, by simply persisting. True satisfaction in life is found through accomplishment, and accomplishment is the product of persistence. The true value of my attendance has been tasting this accomplishment and therefore satisfaction, even when uncertainty seemed to abound in my life.

Stephanie

Being at a two year college I have worked hard to get where I am and to stay out of debt. The hard work and effort I have put in at my college has tought what life outside of college is like and has prepared me for the struggles ahead.

Breisha

From college I've gained more life experience in different situations, learned how to live on my own and grow as a person. College has been valuable to attend because it's where one develops the mental abilities to survive outside from their parents or relatives. College is the place where one can further his mind past what he thinks he knows and can lead to great possibilities for careers.

Kristin

I think that the most valuable thing that I received by coming to college in Arizona is being able to show myself that I can make it on my own on the opposite side of the country with out the help of my parents. I have shown myself that if you work hard it pays off, and not only that but there is still time to go out and have fun. I have also met amazing people here that I wouldn't have if I were to attend at a state school, and I get a better life experience by not following my high school. I have learned so much already, and I’m only a freshman, the professors are great and give you one-on-one time if needed, which helps a lot. I have gained independence, knowledge, friendships, and self worth by attending University of Arizona, and I continue to build on that every day.

Nicole

Attending college has aided me in developing and exploring of a variety of interests and talents and also provided me with peers whom I may better relate to. A well rounded education is crucial to the development of a well rounded individual. Attending college has given me the opportunity to engage myself in such an education. In college, I have been able to foster my many and varied interests and have been encouraged to explore a wide array of subject areas rather than limiting myself to courses that are strictly associated with my academic program. I have also met a variety of diverse students with whom I share many interests on campus. These new acquaintances have not only provided me with companionship, but they have contributed to my education by introducing me to different beliefs, cultures and ways of doing things. Attending college has allowed me to delve into my studies and truly appreciate and enjoy this time in my life.

geoffrey

im learning the tools of my chosen trade and tools that might come up even though there not main stream. its valuable to me becouse im going to make a carear out of the knolage im gaining in school, and to make it out of what fells like a never ending battle to stay in the black after the rent gos though eatch month.

Christi

It gave me a start when I first got out of high school. I then married, had children and now am a single mom. I now look back and see that out of the hours that I did complete, it will give me an advantage when starting nursing school.

Shira

During my college experience, I learned a lot about myself as an individual. College has helped me shape a more in depth view of what I want to do for the rest of my life. I have been able to develop my studying habits. I have also been able to motivate myself to not accept the average, especially with the major I am going into. Because of this drive I constantly push myself to do better in all aspects, not just academically. College taught me how to be independent and work for the things that I want in life, rather than just simply asking for them. That is why I believe attending The University of Arizona has been extremely valuable for me. I have grown as a person.

Tanner

I have learned to apply more discipline in my studies, in order to fulfill my professional and personal ambitions.

Janessa

I have gotten alot from my college experience. I gained more knowlegde on the subjects that I am interested in, unlike high school where the classes are already predetermined. In college, I have a choice in what i want to take and that is very appealing to me. I also get to meet many new people every day from all over the world. It has been valuable to attend because every day that I go to school, my future is looking that much brighter. This college experience is preparing me for the world, to become an individual and work hard.
