I’m on my second semester of college at Daytona state college. This college by far has been the best college I’ve been to and learn at. This place makes you feel like you’re home. They care about you and care about helping the community. They will listen to you and help you in any way they can. I highly recommend this college to everyone.
I love Daytona State College. They have so many degree options to choose from. Career & Student Advisors are available to help determine my future path. There are a wide range of sports & clubs to join. Multiple campus locations are beneficial & I love the small classes sizes.
I love the science department, the professors, and the students! The advisors are hard to get a hold of, but your professors can register you and help you choose the right courses for you (depending on your major). Tons of opportunities for high schoolers doing dual enrollment, first time college students, and those you are coming back to school after a break.
Daytona State College is one of the best colleges in Florida if you are worried about getting an affordable tuition. Their mix of physical, hybrid, and online classes allow for a flexible schedule so you can get your degree in a timely fashion, offering plenty of resources to help new and returning students all for a fair price. Plus, they offer plenty of financial aid opportunities such as book vouchers to help you get the resources you need to succeed in your classes. If you are unsure of which college to pick, give Daytona State College a chance and see just what they have to offer!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Daytona State College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I actually would have convinced myself to do some duel enrollment. This would have helped me complete my AA degree sooner and move on to bigger things. I would have also told myself to enjoy my last high school year a little more instead of rushing out of it.
Diversity
The diversity at Daytona State College is absolutely phenomenal. I am often in a class with students as young as dual enrolling fifteen years old high school students to seventy-five year old adult education students. Even in most working environments, this age diversity is not existent. I find it quit amazing to see this broad age range striving for the same goal, their degree. Daytona State College motivates their students to do their best in school; it is very obvious their message has gotten through by looking at so many ambitious students.
My school is an growing, proffessional, organized institution.
The worst thing is the library. It is old and dank, and feels as if it is about to crumble down. Also, there are not many areas for students to study in. Most are off-limits to that sort of activity.
Daytona Beach Community College is no longer a community college, but a state college. The most frustrating thing about my school is there are not a lot of sports teams, or school spirit like there is at big universities, and I have always wanted to experience that part of college. The students dread going to school because it is just like high school for them. The teachers treat us like we are high-schoolers and I wish they treated us like actual college students even if it is not a bigger university.
There really isn't anything I am oppose to, not that has come to my attention for the past first two semesters enrolled at UCF. I'm actually satisifed with all assistance that the UCF adminstrative staff and faculty has demonstrated. Thanks again for a wonderful first twos emesters. I am confident that there will many more fulfilling semesters ahead.
The kind of person that should attend this school should be one who burns with motivation and enthusiasm toward earning a higher education. The students that will best prosper are those that are interested, enjoy learning and want to thrive during their academic journey. Supportive students are also welcome as Daytona State College is filled with students willing to communicate and help others in their academic grade level or selected courses. Respectful students are also a must when considering attending Daytona State College as such respect allows professors to better focus on the learning curriculum with ease for our benefit.
I think that this school allows all students, of all ages and ethnicity to attend it. However, if one is looking for four year degrees, this is not the college for that person. They only offer a limted number of four year degrees.
Our school in known for the great academic department that we have. There are tutors available to help you from 8am to 8pm. The professors are usually more than willing to help in any way they can to see you suceed.
What is most unique about Dayona State College is that the instructors are willing to dedicate there time to you in a small classroom setting. The classes offered at DSC are always small. I have never been in a class with more than thirty people, which is about the size of a high school class. Not only do you recieve more individual attention at D.S.C., but there are computer labs available for intermediate math and english classes. This provides some extra help students that are in need.
I love the fact that DSC is advancing and trying to become a University. I love how they work together with the University of Central Florida to help students further their education. They staff is always very helpful and they make it easy to get any information you need.
This school, like any school, is what you make of it. There are great teachers and even better programs. This is a great place to start your academic life and to push you on to greatness. It's a relatively small school, but it has a lot of spirit The thing I really love about Daytona State College is the atmosphere of ambition. The school's main passion is to assist students realize their dreams and chase after them. The faculty realizes that most students are going back to school or are on their way to another school, so they do their best to send them on with as much know-how as possible. The thing about any community college is that there are lots of negative or derogatory remarks made. But, like I first said, any educational experience is what you make of it.
Academics are okay. This is a community college whose student body is made up of people trying to get back into school or trying to get to a different school. But there are several excellent teachers who have a passion for their subject. To get a truly great academic experience look for challenging classes, but if you're looking for easy A's you'll find them.
I'm not sure, probably GSA or Student Honor Society.
No real stereotype, as far as I know.
