i feel as it is a wonderful college great when you want to stay around galilee and friends Northwestern state university is a quite , calm & sage college to attend ... you have the opportunity to experience the full on time of the college and also keeping your academics up .
Northwestern State is a beautiful school that I cannot wait to live and learn for the next couple of years. The school spirit is flowing all throughout campus, and outside the school. Everyone has friendly faces and made my family and I very welcome.
Northwestern is a great school to attend if you aren’t into the bigger colleges. It’s the perfect size between small and big. Everybody has a place and it’s very diverse. The only thing I’d want to change is that the workers in charge of the campus shops aren’t the kindest nor do they ever really have merchandise to sell. (I.e. the coffee shop).
I like Northwestern state University. It was one first school I thought of when I was ready to transfer. Everything so far is going great with this pandemic. They have walking distance food places and buildings to go if you do not have a car. The people are nice too.

This is the BEST! I love it, so will you!
What's unique about my school is that they treat every student as if we were their family. NSU helps every student who needs help, they want to see each one of the students succeed in their intended major. NSU is not only a place to learn but it's a lace where someone can have fun, be at home, and is always welcome. No professor there turns their back on any student, they are there to help.
Majority of my assmates are very friendly and always willing to help if you need it.
Any type, whether they want an academic challenge or just to get enough schooling for a career. On campus, we have a liberal arts honor college that will challenge any student academically; and we have many different degree types to suit most people's needs.
People that shouldn't attend this school would be people that have a hard time with responsibility and time management.
The best thing about being a student at Northwestern is that it has something to appeal to everyone. If the student likes quiet time to study, there are great locations for that , as well as, places for students who really enjoy being involved. There is no pressure to do something or be something, aside from just being you. It is a great place for transitioning into an adult, while still having a fun educational experience.
I went to Northwestern State University nursing school and all of the nursing professors are extremely helpful and willing to do whatever it takes for their students to learn what they are teaching.
The school's town is the oldest in Louisiana and has a rich history of the classic haunted plantation cliche.
How welcoming our campus is, you go anywhere and there is someone to tell you hi, and offer a helping hand. Also the teachers here are just so fantastic at their job, they go above and beyond expectations.
I have not had any problems with my school so far, so for me everything is good and fine.
Many of the facilities are run down, old and not taken well care of.
It depends on the degree you're pursuing. I would say about average.
I do not really have the time to be involved in the activities, but I'm sure they are great.
This school, like many other universities, has declined in quality over the years in favor of money. My first semester cost around $1200 to attend and by my 4th or 5th semester the tuition had shot up to nearly $3600 for the same amount of classes. Face to face classes are mostly ok but its really hit or miss with the online classes. They've started using teachers that aren't even in the same state as you and they have way more things to do than worry about you as a person. You either do the assignments on time, no excuses, or they fail you. They have little concern for you as a student.
Since we are mostly nursing students at the Shreveport campus we sometimes forget that there are other people there in different majors.
