Cedarville is a great university on a smaller campus with some nice hole in the wall shops nearby. The main campus is set around a lake which gives the university some nice views as well as a decent temperature during the spring. There is also a cat house; basically one of the professors leaves out food for some stray cats so they're are thirteen or so cats that chill out near campus and are pretty friendly. The courses are fun and they definitely push you to work hard and do your best and the professors are super supportive and are willing to lend a helping hand or critique when you need it. They are never overbearing and they want you to succeed.
Cedarville University is a fantastic college to consider when looking for high quality academics and a very involved student community. This private Baptist university is set on a gorgeous campus, built around a lake, and has easy walkable access to all facilities. Professors are very easy to deal with and are more than happy to help you with whatever struggles you may be having, both educational and personal. There is a great variety of D2 varsity sports and lots of intermural sports and clubs to join! Cedarville University is a great college to consider attending and I would recommend it to anyone, especially Christians looking for a good school!
I really like it, and will begin this August as a freshmen
The moment I stepped onto the campus, I was welcomed and greeted by smiling faces. They made sure to mention they were happy I was there and were super helpful with directions. I was guided to a well organized table where I received a packet of information regarding the housing, activities, and campus life. I felt so welcomed and fell in love with the kind hearts of the people willing to answer any questions I had. The chapel service was surreal. The chapel building is beautiful and large and I could feel the Holy Spirit's presence as everyone in the room sang and worshipped God. The campus is beautiful and the facilities are very modern and nice. Everything is surrounding a lake which is a constant reminder of God's beauty in creation. The food was also fantastic and there are many options available, with easy seating. I was impressed with their cute coffee shops as well as I am a fan of coffee shops. Not only were the structures and facilities of this University nice, but also the people you meet. I stopped some current students and they weren't upset to make conversation with me but truly shared their love of God and the campus and were ready to answer any questions that came their way. Overall I love this campus and the people. Even the President of the school mingled among the students and stayed active at their nice gym. I was impressed with what this school is doing in students life and how it prepared them for the future. About 80% of all students graduate Cedarville and a high percentage have jobs right out of college. They have many opportunities for immersive and hands on job experience. If looking to attend or visit Cedarville, I encourage you to do so!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Cedarville University is 69%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would tell them to start early and take their time. There are so many wonderful colleges and universities to attend. Take the time to go and visit these schools, to learn about the programs they offer. No one school is perfect, nor is any one school the same as another; each one offers something a little different than another one. So, take the time to get to know and understand what it is you like and dislike about each school. If you move to fast, you may wind up choosing a school that does not suit your needs or wants in an education and may very well regret your decision (plus losing all of the money that went into finalizing that decision). College is a great experience. Take the time to choose the one that suits you best.
My classmates are friendly and caring and are always looking for ways to pray for me and help me with whatever I am struggling with.
not enough racial diversity. they try, but haven't really grown enough yet.
I wish I had known that the school had such a rigorous program. It has been very benefitial to learn new things at Cedarville, and they make a huge effort to help you find where you fit when it comes to majors.
the location (hard to get to places without a car, and it's cold and windy).
The best thing is that it is a Christ-centered campus; the majority of my fellow students have one goal: to glorify God in everything we do! Also, there is always something fun to get involved in on campus such as, being in a discipleship group, volunteering for different organizations, playing intramural sports, dorm wars, friday night movies, etc. Cedarville is an amazing university with encouraging professors who want each of their students to be successful not only in their professions, but also in their walk with God.
Good, friendly environment.
I was attracted by the small class sizes and the personal relationships that one can build in such enviorment. Also, it is a Christ-Centered institution that emphasizes the importance of building a strong faith in Jesus Christ. No other universities I looked at offered that the way Cedarville did.
Someone who is not able to accept authority or who does not want to live for Christ.
Cedarville is a Christ-centered university that embraces each student as a member of a big family that cares about you individually; on an academic and personal level, providing you with a broad range of opportunities both social and academically to assist you in preparing for your future career and making friends for life!
Cedarville University is certainly not for everyone, however, people looking for a small (around 3,000 students), faith based, person-oriented, and challenging academic environment will find it at Cedarville. Academic coaching is avaliable and spiritual growth is emphasized. There are also plenty of opportunities to serve the surrounding community and build upon personal character. Students who want a holistic educational experience will find Cedarville an ideal campus. Professors are well qualified for their positions and academics are challenging. Students are encouraged to develop as a whole person: spiritually, mentally, and physically. Anyone looking for this will enjoy Cedarville.
Solid academics, and balanced rules with an emphasis on Bible classes.
Yes
Rigorous - this is no "party school". Professors are fair, personable and approachable; they genuinely care about their students on a personal and professional level.
These kids know how to have fun - genuine and personable. Great Student Life division plans so many activities students have to choose and balance their social lives with academic requirements. Basketball games regularly turn out two-thirds of the student body.
Well educated, extraordinary employees
Cedarville is a great school and provides a very positive experience for the vast majority of its students. Possibly too conservative for some, Cedarville discerns truth through a biblical lens. Daily chapel and a Bible minor are distinctive of the Cedarville Experience.
