My opinion of St Kate's is that it is such a lovely campus filled with incredible professors who really take the time to get to know everyone. They are always available in class, after class or office hours to help students succeed. The SEEK team does a wonderful job of creating fun events for students to attend to have fun because at St Kate's our motto is life beyond books.
I was apprehensive at first about attending, but I ended up really loving the message of social justice and Catholic social teaching that the university has. I've had a great experience here so far, and I love the community and the opportunities that St Catherine offers!
I love St Catherine University! The professors are amazing! Being a student-parent, they have amazing staff that have many resources to help me out. The professors are very understanding when it comes to family issues. One time my daughter was hospitalized for pneumonia, my professor told me to not worry about school right now and focus on my daughter. Just last Thursday there was an exam and I did not have childcare that day. I brought her to school and explained the situation to my professor. She allowed me to still take the exam since I was already at school. I just took it in the lab where my daughter wouldn't be distracting the other students taking the exam. St Kate's is a little more pricey than public colleges and universities, but I think it is definitely worth the money. The small community and convenience of its location is ideal for me and my learning.
It's an okay school; I don't think I would recommend this college for numerous reasons. Somewhat disappointed what their mission is and wanting to promote and educate women to stand up for what we believe in, but yet they lack that in areas. The faculties on campus are supposed to be leader and role models for us women. However, I feel that some do see it as a business point of view. Which is why there are many flaws as we the students and incoming students are the "customers". As me being a customer of the school, I am disappointed with the experience that I have with this school. Unless, you are one of the main popular major that St. Kate is known for then I would maybe consider this school, but if not then I would find a different school.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for St Catherine University is 90%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Look at more schools with Sign Language/Interpreting Major and that offer volleyball, just to give more of a selection. You can always go back to a vocational school after you get a degree.
I hate the parking. I am a firm believer that if I pay for my education, the parking should be free, plus the only student lot is outside, and on the opposit end of campus then all the academic buildings.
A student in pursuit of full graduation credit from Saint Catherine University (St. Kate's) should identify themselves as female, since it is an woman's university. Males are allowed to enroll and graduate, but only with special circumstances. The students of St. Kate's should be commited to her/his studies and have an open mind. Those who enroll should participate in life to their full ability and posess a helpful, determined nature. Before arriving at St. Kate's one should have an idea of their purpose in life, or be willing to find it, no matter the field.
Students are here to learn, and are acedemically focused. They are focused more on school and go else where for social life, not on campus.
It is great not feeling awkward with different mindsets between men and women, here we are all women and can understand each other more easily.
I wish I have known about the finicial aid.
Based on a individual preference, students who shouldn’t consider attending St. Catherine university, are student who learn better in larger class size and enjoy the Wide variety of majors and courses. Our school isn’t a good fit for students who enjoy the greater social activities, and the diversity of the student population. However, even if our university isn’t fit for that individual , a person personality, interests, and choices will make their college experience different from anyone else’s.
A piece of hevean filled with diversity
College of St. Catherine is known for its Nursing major.
My school is women empowerment focused, which allows for the students to become connected with their peers as well as the staff.
My school is so friendly. Students, professors, and staff all go out of their way to acknowledge you. The school also provides many resources for students to use to help them succeed and do good in school. Teachers want you to do good in their classes and provide help for you if needed.
There is no parking lot and you have to park along the road and walk a long ways to get to the school. The food is a small area with sandwiches and pizza.
Great school, great staff, comfortable community but yet is in an urban area with all the amenities available.
