I really enjoy the campus and the people. I love the trees and how green it is. Overall, I have had a great experience with my professors and the class work load. Registering for classes for me hasn’t been an issue for me for this coming year but before, it has been a little hard to get classes if you don’t have priority registration.

The campus is beautiful and I enjoy walking it. The classes I have taken so far have stretched my mind academically and I have enjoyed them. Professors keep good office hours so I can attend them regularly. I’m excited to graduate from here and be a CSUS alum.

Sacramento State has the opportunity to be an amazing school. One major fall back a lot of students experience is the lack of seats in many ncessary and often required classes. Sacramento state is very willing to collect your tuition money, but when it comes to actually getting into the classes--forget about it. This often adds time to how long it takes to graduate. Which I guess is retrospect is a good business move. But schools should not act as businesses do. They are also considering raising the tuition, have raised the parking permit cost, and overprice books in the bookstore. Many students are often faced with the decision of whether they get the required book for class and if they eat that entire week. As for parking, there are more parking spaces for faculty and staff than students. Students cannot even make it to class in time due to the minuscule amount of parking spaces. I think Sacramento State needs to rethink how they go about certain decisions with the students' best interests at heart.

The FitnessGram Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal bodeboop. A sing lap should be completed every time you hear this sound. ding Remember to run in a straight line and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark. Get ready!… Start.

My overall opinion on California State University-Sacramento is that it’s a nice big school that has a lot of diversity. It feels like a safe, friendly campus and lots of people get involved with clubs and events. Also the housing off and on campus looks great.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

CSU-Sacramento definitely has the potential to be an amazing school, but falls short in various areas. For one, they fail to provide an adequate food court. With no food, there is no motivation. Secondly, the institution fails to get their students involved in School Spirit. A very big commuter school. One major thing that everyone should be aware of: there are 3 parking structures with over 30,000 students. They fail to provide efficient parking for students. Okay, so they can't feed us, no school spirit, and no parking.. so what are the good parts? Well, the staff and faculty genuinely care about your academics and success. They are available during their office hours and outside of office hours. Many of the staff and Faculty have experience in the field they are teaching, so they are able to teach more than what is in the books. There are countless of resources that I haven't seen at many other campuses such as "First year Experience" and the various support systems as advisers and peer mentors. Depending on you future career, there are a number of connections the school has since they are located at the Capital. Overall, it is a good school, just falls short on certain aspects.

I am a future student, and from my multiple tours and close relationships with many current students, I have learned and felt the welcoming, intellectual environment. Sacramento State, located in one of the most diverse cities in California, has a wide variety of opportunities for students with different backgrounds and interests. The campus itself is beautiful, with trees and well-kept buildings, and the student life is laid back, yet there is always things to do or be involved in. A lovely place to be, a lovely home.

The school is perfect for someone who love a small community environment. Their is a work out station that is filled with different things to do if your not into lifting weights, even a rock climbing wall. The library is always available and has someone at the front to help you whenever you need. The students are friendly and very inviting, plus the classes are perfect size were everyone can get help. It's a wonderful school.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I transferred to CSUS from Southern California and I absolutely love it. I made some great friends very quickly my first semester, and I have three amazing roommates. The class sizes are good, I think, but I know many people have a lot of trouble registering for classes because there are not many class sections open. I am a science major, so trying to get into the limited amount of upper division classes can be competitive and frustrating. Once you're in class, though, the professors are pretty great. They all genuinely care about your wellbeing and worry about more than your grade. They are all approachable and very reachable; I've had many of them say we can come talk to them about anything we need to. Everyone here is pretty woke!
