Overall, Clemson's campus is huge but it is fairly easy to get around once you know where the main buildings are. But even if students have problems with that, there is an app that can be downloaded to help with navigating around campus which is great! I absolutely LOVE Clemson, I am so happy that I decided to go there. I have met some great friends, there is always something to do on campus or near campus. A lot of stores and shops are relatively close to campus which is awesome. The professors are there for the students and they want them to learn and be successful. Clemson is all about their students, and I could not have found a better college to call my home!

This is a great school to attend. We have the national championship winning football team to gloat about. Students tend to keep to themselves so you don't get confronted with uncomfortable situations. The campus has a awesome atmosphere. It is very clean and open. Come join us!

Clemson looks very nice. A great atmosphere. One thing I do not like is that the class sizes are very big. I would like for them to be a lot more smaller. I also do not like how big the campus is. If you do not mind the big class sizes and the big campus than this is just for you.

I love the atmosphere of encouraging involvement and enhancing education. There are plenty of spaces left open 24 hours in order to obtain easy access and plenty of outdoor activities to be entertained. However, the dorms are below par and the cost is a serious hardship.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I began my education at Clemson and ended up transferring to the University of South Carolina for a better program in Public Relations, so bear that in mind. Overall, I wouldn't say Clemson was necessarily that bad, but there were a number of issues I ran into that led me to transfer. Firstly, the student body left much to be desired. I got the feeling that so many of the students there came to Clemson specifically to reinvent themselves as maybe they weren't necessarily comfortable with themselves in high school. You got a distinct vibe that many were formerly nerdy and were trying way too hard to give off a Southern aura. Very little authenticity to be had. Secondly, the town was just plain boring. No bar scene, not much to do other than go to the lake or walk around campus. It's pretty, sure, but certainly no better than Columbia or Charleston. Next, the cult. For so many current students and alumni, it seemed like they had created an identity for themselves around the fact that they went to Clemson. They define themselves by this and disavow other facets of their lives that might make them more interesting. I find this in particular with Clemson alumni that I've worked with, and you'll find a similar sentiment shared by the uber-Christian folks over at A&M. It's just bizarre, and if you've worked with an alumnus, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I also don't think the school does a very good job of preparing you for life after college, as we've had to let go of two Clemson alumni in the four short years I've worked at my firm due to their (a bit of a strong word here) incompetence. They were maladjusted to the pressures of deadlines and rode hard on the fact that they graduated from CU. In public relations, Clemson's program was pretty abysmal and was certainly an impetus for me to transfer to USC. Look, it seems like I'm crapping all over Clemson, and though my experience wasn't necessarily all that great, it's certainly a great school for those who fit that particular mold. Clemson has a bit of an identity issue, it's either a Southern school or an ACC school whenever it's convenient for them. I'm so happy I didn't wait too long to transfer, as my college experience was much more well-rounded, academically rigorous for my major and fun after-hours in Columbia. Also, don't let Clemson fool you, though it is a great academic institution and ranked higher than any other school in the state, there have been several controversies about them artificially inflating/padding their stats, not reporting sexual assaults, etc. to get their ranking. It's certainly not enough to say that it's not as good of a school as South Carolina (I'm not THAT crazy), but for your money, if you're well-adjusted and comfortable in your own skin, I'd hightail it to Columbia.

I love it here. The campus is beautiful and my fellow students are extremely happy overall. The education here is second to none with my department having a 100% employment rate last year. Off campus housing definitely beats on campus housing for what you get according to the price. Come here you won't regret it.

Clemson University is an absolute dream school. I have always wanted to attend and got the amazing opportunity the fall of 2015. I came into this university super nervous, but this place has made me feel at home. I have made so many amazing relationships with other college students and have formed close relationships with my professors. I would recommend this university to anyone.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I think that Clemson University being located in South Carolina gives it the impression that it’s a strictly republican/conservative-like school. However, this is not true at all. I must admit that I too thought Clemson would be more conservative, even though I have lived in South Carolina for the past few years. Clemson University, surprisingly, is almost the opposite. The amount of cultural diversity and acceptance that exists here at Clemson is remarkable. I say this because it was not until 2012 that I moved from Thailand, and I do not feel at any time, out of place. Everybody is friendly with others, and there is a strong bond over how proud we all are to be tigers. It is impossible to go around campus without seeing students wearing clemson orange. Because of the academic requirements, the atmosphere is unlike that of a high school. Theres a sense of intelligence and dedication in the air. The people you meet are all able to hold intelligent conversations with you also, which is a nice change from talking to people who could care less about education. Clemson University being the best thing about the city of Clemson, there are many nature trails and places to go sight seeing nearby campus to keep you active. The weather is nice almost all year round, however it does get chilly during the winter. The dining hall food at clemson is not the best, but most of the time they produce food that actually has good flavor to it. Another thing that can be said about Clemson is that we recently won the national championship in football so coming here would mean being a part of that legacy that I hope we can live up to for the years to come. Overall I have to say that I am more than happy that I chose to attend Clemson University and I am excited to see what opportunities it brings.

I want to play my part in society by helping innovate technology into the world we live in. I've always been "tech-savvy" and getting a degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering aligns with my personality and passion for technology. I hope to one day build or help build groundbreaking technology that will change the course of our future.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Clemson University immediately gives you that college-feel. You'd be surprised how many universities and colleges don't achieve that atmosphere. I absolutely love Clemson's atmosphere: the academics, the sports, the people. There is just a particular caliber of academics here at Clemson. Students genuinely care about their studies, rather than just the social aspect of what college has to offer. There is a nonstop motivation among the students and faculty. I attribute that to the overwhelming school pride. There is not a lack of school spirit and enthusiasm. Of course, winning the national championship in football has something to do with that. Overall, Clemson University is what you hoped college would be like and more.
